The Metropolitan Cathedral of “Nossa Senhora Aparecida”, projected by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, was the first building erected in Brasília. The 16 columns that emerge, in a very particular way, like a root of a tree, were the basis of the inspiration. The capital of Brazil and the faith of a people are, thereby, portrayed from one of the most emblematic monuments in the city. Fé (Faith), a tribute piece to the originality and irreverence of the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, is characterized, like all the other Malabar pieces, by the quality of its materials. The top of this stool is made of solid walnut wood, and the metallic foot reflects the columns that composed the immense “root” that is Brasilia’s Cathedral, in a lacquered finish.
